D2B – Recognition and utilization of international business opportunities of renewable energies in energy technology companies
D2B (Direct to Business) is a Finnish national project funded by the ESF (European Social Fund). The project commenced in August 2009.
The implementation of the renewable energy directive creates new business opportunities for Finnish companies. The D2B project aims at forming a method with which Finnish renewable energy technology and service providing companies gain knowledge on renewable energy markets within EU and on the export potential.
The project gathers deeper knowledge on the upcoming RES directive, specifically on how the EU-27 countries plan to reach their 2020 targets (National Renewable Energy Action Plan, June 2010). This information would include for example technology specific legislation, incentives and investment plans. This information is collected with the assistance of European co-operation partners. Correspondingly these partners are provided with information on respective situation in Finland.
Eventually, the project aims at exhibiting renewable energy investment projects to which the interested companies could be involved with.
