Testing for the future

In his editorial, Jukka Hämäläinen, FIMA's Chairman of the Board evaluates the development of Finnish industry and its testing during 30 years.

He argues, that novadays, testing of new work machine models can be carried out partially by simulating the machines in their actual tasks before sketching the final design. He poses an important question: Have we been able to reach test results that will help the manufacturers of intelligent machines to remain in the global technological vanguard? And are we - together with FIMECC - capable of discovering and directing future research towards the right direction so that technology industry will be able to design more new applications, machines and devices our customers need?
