Applied basic research
The focus of FIMA’s research is applied basic research. This in turn is focused on strategic technology research which aims to develop shared basic solutions and methods for the mobile work machines industry. The main purpose is to improve the productivity of work machines and to generate new work processes. This is achieved by increasing the level of automation. Intelligence already plays a key role in work machines, and its importance will rise significantly in the future.
