FIMA (Forum for Intelligent Machines ry) organised a pre-study concerning the level of reliability management during the design process. During the study several representatives of 8 companies were interviewed. The study revealed that the usage of tools that are supporting the reliability management during design are not in common use. Practical tools were especially required to the early design phases, e.g. for concept design. Therefore the objective of the RelStep project is to develop s toolbox that supports reliability management during desing process.
