Hermia is responsible for the following entities in the Energy Technology Cluster:

Boiler and gasification technologies and their applications in power and heat plants and in energy-intensive industry.

Multi-fuel plants, the effects of the co-use of several different fuels on incineration processes, emissions, material and structural solutions and process control.

Industrial energy solutions, the efficient and economical utilization of industrial by-product flows, heat load and waste heat.

Solutions related to renewable energy (technologies and services), including international market possibilities

New fuels and traffic solutions (biofuels, gaseous fuels, electric vehicles etc.)

The Energy Technology Cluster focuses on industry that produces machines, equipment and services needed for energy production, distribution and use. Pressures for change in the energy industry generate opportunities for the Finnish energy technology industry, particularly in the market for clean energy and climate change control. The aim is to achieve significant growth in the development and competitive capacity of Finnish companies in the cluster.
