Mechanical engineering and automation unit
The unit’s activities are based on strengthening the competitiveness of the strong metal cluster – the mechanical engineering and automation concentration of expertise – in the central Tampere Region. The unit coordinates the national Intelligent Machines cluster programme and is responsible for the cluster’s activities in the central Tampere Region. The unit is also responsible for the activities of the centre of expertise in the nano- and micro systems and adaptive materials cluster programme in the central Tampere Region. In addition, the unit promotes cooperation and networking by companies in the industry by launching development activities that aim to further strengthen expertise.
